Day 5 January 5, 2010
Today we saw Hoover Dam. It was the biggest dam that I have ever seen. I wouldn't stand on the wall for a million bucks or whatever you say. The weather was very sunny and clear. It was amazing seeing the air force base in California but it was in the middle of the Mojave Desert. It was clear so we could see for miles on end but of dirty mountains. I was amazed at the sight of mist in the mountains that looked like Scotland. I wanted to just take a vacation in those mountains. The reason I wanted to take a vacation there was because there was orange groves right past the mountains. Oranges are amazing when they are on a tree. Day 5 done.
Love the pictures!!! Tell mom thanks for sharing them with us. You and Ethan look like secret agents with those glasses on - sneaking around the dam to find the transformer dude from the movie. Funny. Glad you liked the Dam and the Desert....can't wait to hear about California next time you blog.

I have never seen either the Canyon or the Dam; your video cracked us up. Grandma Judy. I am jealous, it is really cool that you guys got to see those places, and I loved the prarie dogs. Sounds like your having a great time. Grandpa Jake
